BOOK III
of the SOCRATES ‘N SUITS triad is the conclusion of the
developing friendship between one of the world’s most eminent
philosophers and Jack “Suitcase” Simpson, fighter pilot,
experimental pilot, and businessman of 40years. BOOK I & II
details when, and how, they met; very, very interesting.
Socrates then called on his 2500 years of intellectual
experience to guide Jack through combat and five years of
testing two of the USAF’s fastest fighters including flights
above 70,000ft. and 1474 mph. Jack started his business as a
$300 a month janitor after being fired from an aerospace company
... too much of a maverick. Socrates guided him through the myriad of
stumbling blocks, failures, and recoveries until one day he
said, “Socrates, after 77 years, it looks like I’m an overnight
success.” |

BOOK III is
an account of the author’s hands-on experience in the professions of
Marketing and Sales with particular emphasis on marketing analysis.
An in depth marketing analysis proffers writing of a beneficial
marketing and business plan in “the language of and needs of” the
customer. Notice the title of BOOK III; speaking of synergy,
an Army or a Corporation cannot capture territory, or market share
in a territory, without a written plan. However, there is a
dichotomy: in one you must know your enemy; in the other, your
customer.
The nexus of, or
road to, any successful experience is “filling your self full of the
problem.” You will read, in BOOK III, a chapter thus
entitled. You also will comprehend my marketing problems being
solved in many shapes and forms and in many different activities
such as playing golf, while driving a car, the lessons of history,
men putting away tools in a warehouse, my pedigree Boston Terrier, a
meeting with a USAF General.
This literary work
is not necessarily to be read in sequential chapters. The reader may
want to peruse different subjects, therefore the offering of problem
solving may be the same to these different essays. I did not have
in mind writing a best seller. I want only for you to vicariously be
there with me while we bring professional success to you and your
company.
