  • Systems experience (armament and radar) APG Radar    E-4 Fire Control System   NASARR (North American Search and  Range Radar)    MA 10 Radar (F-104)   Sidewinder missile,   GE T-171E Cannon

  • Experimental Flight Test Experience (design)

  • Flutter analysis (high speed---low altitude)

  • Power plant--- GE XJ-79 engine

  • Structural integrity

  • Stability and Control  (forced to eject at 25,000’ when tail separated from YF-104 #8)

  • Armament

  • Performance (Speeds ranging to 2.25 Mach number {1507.5mph} 

  • Altitudes to 70,000 feet.
